Sleep and dreams
Cross-Cultural Sleep and Dreams Study
This multilingual project aims at comparing attitudes, practices and experiences associated with sleep and dreams between different social, cultural and linguistic groups. Our English-language questionnaire has been so far translated into French, Spanish, German, Russian, Arabic, Mandarin, Japanese, and other languages are forthcoming

Sleep and dreams as social practices
We understand sleep and dreams as not only a biological imperative, but also as social practices embedded in and influenced by local social and cultural norms. We are using the paradigms of enactivism and of situated cognition to explore how people sleep and how they understand their dreams.
